Preparing Your Quilt

General

• The three layers of your quilt are loaded on the machine independent of each other.  Please do not pin or baste them together.
• The batting and backing should measure at least 6 inches wider and 6 inches longer than the quilt top

Quilt Top

• The top should be free of any embellishments such as buttons or beads.
• Clip all thread tails and be sure to press all of the seams
• Place a pin the center top of your quilt (the head of the bed) to identify it

Batting

• If you send batting please use Hobbs Heirloom,  Warm and Natural, or Quilters Dream Batting.  The batting needs to be  at least 6 inches wider and 6 inches longer than the quilt top

Backing Fabric

• Trim all selvedges off the fabric.  The fabric should be straight and squared and 3 inches larger on all 4 sides.  Bed sheets are not suitable
